Now I am not going to say what the film is about as many reviewers have said that already, what I m going to say what Is bad about the film.
Firstly the start, we undercut between Becky and the Prison, why? It would have been better to flesh out the characters more.
Then there is Becky, a troubled teen, in these films all they all are, it would be nice for a change if a family were normal.
Then there are the revenge scenes, this is where the film suffers the most. We get the most clumsy and idiotic convicts out there, they are more laughable than terrifying. How can a teenage girl out smart and out fight four hardened criminals?
These films are becoming the norm, which is a shame, if only the script writer had taken more care in fleshing some parts out and making the film more of a knuckle ride. This film would have a higher rating.

Becky (Lulu Wilson)is a rebellious young lady. She doesn't listen to her dad (Joel McHale) and having a thought time dealing with her Mother's Death from cancer.
Her dad has a bright idea for some bonding time and some life changing news at a beautiful lake house.
The movie brilliantly starts out to intertwine
the opening scenes with a daring lead up to a prison break. Led by the swastika tattooed maniac James' Dominick (Kevin James. This sets up the story and how both sets of characters will come to together.
Turns out this big lakeside getaway which at one time was going to be sold is off the market and will be kept. Becky has a lot of good memories with her mom there and was devastated they were selling. So with that news she for a moment let down her god and was happy. Until the second set of news is broken. Her dad reveals his girlfriend Kayla (Amanda Brugel) and her son Ty (Isaiah Rockcliffe) are also spending time with them.
At dinner more good news. Jeff announces he and Kayla are going to get married. This is met with disapproval and Becky storms off to her hidden clubhouse in the woods with her dog.
Dealing with her moms death and possibly a new mom has Becky not dealing well and very angry with her dad Jeff.
So after a daring prison break lo And behold Dominick and a few fellow inmates land at there house. They are let in cause a convincing Dominick says he is looking for his dog.
Things sour when bad parallels about mix breeds leaves a bad taste in Jeff's mouth. But after being asked to leave things quickly get very ugly and violent.
It is revealed they are there looking for a key. The key was hidden in a tin box in the basement but is now gone. They soon put together who Becky is and have a feelings he has a key. They know she is near by because of a shortwave wallow talkie she uses to communicate with them.
What this group of escape convicts don't know is there about to deal with a crazy ass 13 year old with A lot of anger.
The four criminals led by Dominick, include Cole (Ryan McDonald) and Hammond (James McDougall) and Apex (Robert Maillet. Apex has a soft side which will prove deadly if he keeps confusing his purpose of this home invasion.
Becky now knows after hearing gunshots and the killing of her other dog these guys mean business. But Becky will not let them
hurt her family and will deliver pain that will make Home Alone look like a tame attempt at revenge next to this.
Her clubhouse has a ample Supply of colored pencils, art supplies and garden tools. This young lady will cause such pain you will look in disbelief yet cheer for her. Ina cross between Home Alone and I spit on your grave. This movie delivers and does not shy away from gore and some fun kills.
The amazing cinematography paired with Nima Fakhrara's pounding score is a treat. The each work off each other to make every scene memorable and a nail bitter.
Kevin James as a psycho is completely a turn around that we're used to. He plays this well and is so haunting and disturbing you will not believe what your seeing. This is not the King of Queens an shows his versatility as an actor.
Lulu Wilson as Becky is amazing and so believable no matter how over the top it gets. This young actress is quickly becoming the next scream queen in the making. Her eyes are so expressive they have so much emotion and the Director uses them so strongly as the violence explodes in front

Joel McHale is amazing as her dad he has such emotion and can feel his torment dealing with Becky. He tries his best and will
Do anything to keep her alive.
I truly recommend this movie. It is a movie that needs to have some popcorn, dim lights and the volume up. This is a real summer fun movie. It will have you standing up and clapping for Becky. As a matter of fact after watching you will be appreciating every performance.
